October 6-9, 2005 a Gay & Lesbian Fest

For the second time Bilitis Lesbian and Bi-women Resource Center supports the annual Gay & Lesbian Fest that will take place at the Red House Center for Culture and Debate, Sofia, 15 Luben Karavelov Street, from 26th till 29th of October. The Red House traditionally promotes art that tolerates differences in sexual orientation and gender identity. This year, the fest will be held in parallel with the annual ILGA-Europe Conference that is hosted in Sofia. With the partnership of De Balie - Amsterdam, Goethe Institute - Sofia, French Institute - Sofia, LesGaiCineMad - Fundacion Triangulo, Spain, Red B&B, Bilitis Lesbian and Bi-women Resource Center, Queer Bulgaria and other Bulgarian collaborators, and the financial support of De Trut and NCDO, The Netherlands. On September 11th, 2004 the people behind the Internet site www.bg-lesbian.com in cooperation with the association Resource Center Bilitis and the club For Her will organize a mass sport event under the motto “Try it - you'll like it”.

                     The athletic events at Eurogames 2004

IIn 2004 the successive Eurogames, sporting events featuring gay and lesbian athletes from all European countries, were held at Munich, Germany. Till now other hosts to this impressive event have been cities such as Berlin, Hanover, Paris, Zurich, and Copenhagen.
