Chairman of the Resource Center of lesbians and bisexual women “Bilitis”, who has been engaged with those issues for many years.
Monika Pisankyneva graduates in Philosophy and English Philology in Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” (1992) and in Comparative European Social Studies in Amsterdam’s University (1998). From the end of 1998 she works in different nongovernmental organizations, teaches “Sexual Identities” as an honorarium lector in NBU (2000-2001). She supports voluntarily the Bulgarian Gay Organization “Dgemini” from 1998 until 2001. She is engaged with social studies of sexual identities; participates in International Conferences on this subject; has made several publications in American and Western European science collections and magazines.
