Don`t panic!
This can change your life completely, but the change
can be for good. And despite that this moment is critical for you, it
can help you attain your life and emotional balance. The worst has already happened, so use the situation as much as you
can. First, accept what has happened. Think about the reaction of your
parents, friends, and acquaintances. How and whether their attitude toward you
has changed after they found out. Try to estimate realistically, objectively,
and without emotions where you stand. This will help you think about
your next steps. Second, plan a strategy of your behaviour and responses. To
burst out in response to verbal attacks is a suicidal strategy and will
bring you nothing good. It will just make people angry, though they might
have been inclined to give you help and support. Try to talk to the people
close to you and show them that you need their support.
And finally, try to think about your future. Your life has undoubtedly
chenged as you won`t neet to hide anymore. So, think how you can adapt
to the changes in your life as you base your plans on the freedom to be
yourself. Freedom that you have now!
Read the other materials in this section. There are detailed
explanations of everything I`ve thought about on this topic. I think that you`ll
find out many helpful things related to you`re future coming out.
