The short answer is- some people will accept you, others won't.

Prejudices and discrimination are everywhere around you. There are prejudices against the Blacks, the women as a sex, the aged infirm people, the Jews, and in general against any group you can think of. Women are still discriminated against professionally, on the street, in politics, and in the family. It takes a long time to eliminate prejudices and to transform the mentality of people. If you are a lesbian, you'll be discriminated against and you have to manage living around prejudiced opinions. Society has a heterosexual world view. We have to put up with ridicules in our families, in school or in the university, in the media....and those behaviours leave us with the impression that everyone around us is heterosexual and preaches discriminatory attitude towards those who are not. These prejudices start to change recently. People are often afraid of the things that they don't understand, and they hate what scares them. Here, the circle closes. Those are the main prejudices, and when they are directed toward homosexuals, we call them HOMOPHOBIA. Homophobia starts to disappear gradually as people increasingly realize that it is normal to be a lesbian as much as it is natural and healthy to be a heterosexual. And this change is due to a growing number of lesbians who, as the Blacks and the Jewish before, come out and bravely state to society as I do: "I am a lesbian! And I'm proud of that!" People who support us in these cases and also bravely state ''This woman is a lesbian, and she is my friend (my sister, daughter) and I'm proud of her!'' are also responsible for this change.

Here are several reasons why you will not be accepted by certain people:
- They are not homosexual and they do not see a reason why the others shouldn't be...
- They are homosexual deep inside but:
a) Friends, family, teachers, society, or the Church has convinced them that it is wrong to be homosexual;
б) They were stalked by homosexuals in their early youth or adolescence.
Then, they to draw the wrong conclusion that all homosexuals are such. The result is that they fight against their natural homosexual orientation and hate everyone who tries to live the way they would like to live deep inside themselves. These people are often among the most radical enemies of homosexuality.
Many parents still believe that homosexuality is a result of improper upbringing of the child. They would like to become grandparents and if their daughter happens to be a lesbian, they loose the opportunity of being such. As a result, they feel resentful and try to find the problem in their own socialization methods. This is a very wrong understanding because homosexuality is natural. It would be the same to criticize themselves for having a daughter with blue eyes. The desire of some parents to ''correct'' the child's homosexuality only makes things worse and alienates the girl. The child is not a pet but a human being which grows up despite the fact that many parents consider their children some kind of property or personal investment. Even before the child is born, her parents have often delineated a plan for her future-childhood, school, university may be, career, marriage, offspring...and so on. But parents have to understand that children are human beings with their own faith, and not robots or slaves. Parents should leave their children the right to freedom and happiness.

Here are a couple of arguments often used against homosexuality, and what you should respond:

Life needs to be reproduced!
It is predetermined that human beings should use sex for reproduction of the human population. The spread and proliferation of homosexuality is the main reason for the decrease of the population. Those are, of course, nonsense and arrogant lies. First of all worldwide, the population does not decrease. In China, there is a law according to which a family has to request a special permission if the couple wants to have a second child.
In addition, only 10% of the people are homosexual and they cannot become a reason for ''the end of the human civilization''- as the main opponents of homosexuality claim. Not to speak that according to a recent study conducted by Canadian researchers, lesbians can get pregnant and bear children without having a heterosexual intercourse or even insemination from a male donor. The method is based on the cloning principle and involves a cell taken from the body of the woman. (look here)
Finally even in Bulgaria, there are tens of thousands of childless families. Should we brand these couples as useless, fruitless...even harmful for society. And Love? Can we state that love is only about sex? Only for reproduction? If that is so for the heterosexual people, I think that for me being a lesbian is a Gift from Fortune!

Homosexuality contradicts natural laws!
This is not true. Many species do exhibit homosexual behaviour. For example in a group of chimpanzees, the leader makes sex with every member, regardless of his or her sex and in order to avoid conflicts in the group - this is a fact proven by science. It is a good idea that guys read more instead of watching the porn channels.

Homosexuality is dangerous because it predisposes people to AIDS!
Despite my numerous requests to point to a single woman who became infected by HIV after sexual intercourse with another woman, no single male has ever defended his stupid and manipulative statement that lesbian relationships expose women more to the danger of HIV infection. Something more - most cases of HIV infection are result of heterosexual intercourse.
Let me repeat:
ACCORDING TO THE STATISTICS OF ALL HEALTH ORGANIZATIONS, HETEROSEXUAL INTERCOURSE IS THE MAIN SEXUAL PRACTICE LEADING TO HIV TRANSMISSION!
After that comes the infection from needles (intravenous drug use, blood transfusion, vaccinations). MALE homosexual intercourse is third in the list of risky practices. We are not men! You can't see anywhere in the statistics how many, if any at all, are the infected lesbians after sexual intercourse with a woman. After all said here, I cannot stop myself from mentioning something else:
- Smoking and alcohol usage are surely harmful and kill slowly.
- Nitrates in vegetables poison.
- Smog in the capitol sity Sofia causes lung cancer.
- Cars crash...
- In 1999 in Bulgaria, six people were struck by a lightning...
What do they want from me? To avoid going to the post office because hypothetically I can get infected with anthrax? To close myself in a sterile environment and not to contact a single human being? According to one research, the possibility of HIV infection after an oral intercourse is just 4: 10000 (look here)

God has created Adam and Eve, not Eve and Eve!
Surprisingly, this statement is favourite to the devote Christians. Yes, but God has not created me, my mother has born me. Let us accept for a moment that God creates people- then it means that God has created me as I am. He has wanted and determined me the way I am....may be as an award...I don't know.
Some of the main ideas which Jesus preaches are:
- Survival
- Love for the other (it's social aspect)
- Strive for wisdom
Our survival and existence does not represent a form of antisocial activity because we don't rob, rape, kill, slander; we are not arrogant as a whole, and no one gets hurt from our existence and from the fact that we kiss and love. So, we are not an anti- social group. Jesus preaches that people should focus their efforts on Love and not to do anything against Love.
